Enjoy a train enthusiast’s day in Altoona, PA!

Motor coach to Pittsburgh’s Union Station and board Amtrak’s 42 Pennsylvania Route to Altoona. In Altoona, enjoy time to visit the Horseshoe Curve Historic Landmark and Visitors Center which includes orientation films, observation areas and a gift shop. Enjoy a boxed lunch and visit to the Railroaders Memorial Museum with an array of artifacts, dioramas, films, and exhibits. Return back to the Amtrak station for train back to Pittsburgh and motor coach return to Bellaire.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

It is not guaranteed to see trains on the Horseshoe Curve while visiting, although for most visits, one or two trains are usually visible. The incline at Horseshoe Curve is not in service. You will still be able to watch the films and view from below but to get to the top, approximately 200 steps are required.
