Join Uniglobe as we visit Oberammergau for this amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
In 1633, the villagers of a small Bavarian town of Oberammergau, suffered devastating losses to the Bubonic Plague. Those survivors appealed for Divine Intervention for their families, vowing to God they would perform the Passion Play every ten years, if they were spared. Still today, the residents host thousands of travelers as they depict the life and death of Jesus, once a decade.
Motor coach to the Pittsburgh airport and overnight flights to Munich, Germany. City tour of Munich including the Alte and Neue Pinakotheks (museums), National Theater, Hobrauhaus, Cathedral, and Odeonsplatz and Karlsplatz squares.
Depart Munich and travel to Oberammergau, home to the most important Passion Play in the world. Enjoy reserved seating for the event with dinner included during the performance.
Visit King Ludwig II's fairytale castle and spend 3 nights in Salzburg. Discover the beauty and sights of the city visiting the historic Old Town, Getreidegasse, Mirabell Gardens, Hellbrunn Castle, and Mondsee. Full day on your own in Salzburg for exploring.
Head to Vienna and discover the Danube Valley. Visit the Melk Abbey and Abbet Church. Enjoy a boat ride to experience the Danube Valley between Krems and Durnstein. Take a panoramic tour of Vienna including the Opera House, Parliament, famous concert halls, and Schonbrunn Palace. Farewell dinner this evening before flights home from Vienna the next morning.
