I am a Wheeling native and Disney enthusiast, newly hired by UNIGLOBE to enhance our Disney clients experience. I could not be more excited about this opportunity.
The only thing better than planning a trip for myself is planning a trip for someone else! In future blog entries, I will be covering a wide array of topics including how to save for a Disney vacation, advantageous times to visit Walt Disney World, runDisney races, pin trading, military discounts, driving vs flying, special dietary needs, services for guests with disabilities….the list goes on and on! But for now, allow me to introduce myself, my Disney experiences and how I aim to help you with your own Disney vacation.
Like most children, I really wanted to go to Walt Disney World as a child. I never had the opportunity then, but I knew as an adult it is never too late to make your dreams come true. I was 30 years old at my first visit. My daughter was just 18 months old. My wonderful friend Renee at UNIGLOBE helped me book and plan that first trip. I had no idea, really, what to expect. I didn’t grasp Just. How. Big. Walt Disney World is and how much there is to see and do! I was hooked from my very first steps inside the Magic Kingdom!
Now, with a dozen or more trips (I’ve lost count) under my belt over the last decade, I find myself dishing out advice almost daily as friends plan their first trips to meet the Mouse. In my adventures, I have stayed in 6 different onsite properties encompassing all 3 tiers of resorts offered at Walt Disney World, and have dined at countless venues throughout the 4 Disney Theme Parks and Resorts. As priorities vary by age, I have tailored trips for my daughter as a toddler, a young child and now a tween, and have also enjoyed adult only Disney vacations (it’s where my friends helped me celebrate the big 4-0!) I’ve run multiple Disney races and have attended seasonal events and special celebrations that Disney offers including both the Flower and Garden Festival and the International Food and Wine Festival, as well as Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. As you may imagine, I’ve picked up plenty of tips and tricks along the way! All this has allowed me to enjoy the magic of Disney from many perspectives and provided me the ability to help you plan your ideal Disney vacation.
