Happy Holidays at Disney

If you are one of those extra jolly people each year-end, if you are someone who needs some extra cheer, or if you are just a breathing human, you will LOVE experiencing the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort during the Holidays!

September and October are devoted to Halloween, but come November 1st- BAM! It is the Christmas season at all Disney World Resorts and Parks!

In typical Disney fashion, the Holidays are over-the-top, wonderfully done and beyond memorable. Each of the Resorts feature a themed Christmas tree – a BIG themed Christmas Tree. The tree at the Contemporary Resort is 70 feet tall! Also at the Contemporary Resort as well as the Beach Club Resort and The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is displayed a massive, life-size fantastical gingerbread house, each with their own theme. (Other gingerbread houses can be found inside some restaurants in Animal Kingdom and EPCOT.)

Besides each of the four parks also having a GIANT themed trees, other special decorations, and events take place for an unforgettable Holiday visit:

In Magic Kingdom, special tickets are available for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. During the party, special characters are out for meet-and-greets such as Jack Skellington, Scrooge McDuck and The Seven Dwarfs. Free holiday treats are offered including cookies, sno-cones and hot chocolate. And let's not forget their truly magnificent Holiday Fireworks Display! Don't miss the “SNOW” on Main Street. Like I said, over the top wonderful!

Over in Hollywood Studios you can experience another unique and awesome nightly projection/firework show Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! In addition this year, they have added fantastic projection shows on the Tower of Terror.

At Animal Kingdom you can meet Santa Goofy and other characters dressed in their holiday best. Special holiday goodies are available throughout the park.

In EPCOT, you can celebrate Holidays Around the World featuring live music and seasonal food. During the Candlelight procession, hear the Christmas story read by a celebrity narrator and accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and lovely choir. Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus in the America Pavilion. You can also enjoy JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season with daily performances of this uplifting holiday show blending gospel with jazz, R&B and more!

Make sure to visit the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail as well to see trees decorated in themes matching your favorite Disney characters.

Crowds are up somewhat this time of year, but with mild temperatures and so much to see and do, they are very manageable. What more magical way to get into the Holiday spirit than a trip to the most Magical Place on Earth. We are happy to help plan your Festive Holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
